Dr. S. N. ULLAS is the Founding Director of Verdant Building Alternatives (OPC) Private Limited. Dr. ULLAS has 16 years of R&D and technology dissemination experience on alternative and low-carbon building materials with a passion for natural resource conservation through waste utilization. He is a Civil Engineering graduate with post-graduation in Construction Technology and obtained his Ph. D from Indian Institute of Science for his research work in the area of waste utilisation and has worked as Senior Project Scientist at Centre for Sustainable Technologies, IISc, Bangalore. Dr. ULLAS has strong interaction with his mentor and an eminent scientist in the area of alternative and low-carbon building materials Prof. B V Venkatarama Reddy, Dept. of Civil Engineering, IISc and derives constant guidance and technical advice in this endeavour.
